Press Release of the Meeting of the Holy Eparchial Synod

NEW YORK - Today, Thursday, September 24, 1998, the regular Fall Meeting of the Holy Eparchial Synod, under the chairmanship of His Eminence Archbishop Spyridon of America, took place in the Synod Chamber at the Archdiocese Headquarters between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.

After brief introductory remarks of His Eminence Archbishop Spyridon, the Synod conducted individual examination and analysis of the eight agenda items.

Evaluation of the works and results of the 34th Clergy-Laity Congress.

Moral and material support of the Mission Metropolitanates of America.
