His Eminence Archbishop Spyridon,
Primate of the Greek Orthodox Church in America
8/10 East 79th Street
New York, NY 10021
We hope that this letter finds Your Eminence well and continuously filled with the strength and spirit of the Holy Trinity. The Parish Council of the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Community again wishes to express its deep love, support and gratitude for your recent visit to our wonderful community and for leading us in the Consecration of our Cathedral. For over 75 years, we have always and will continue to support yours and the Archdiocesan mission of the growth of Greek Orthodoxy in America and throughout humanity. In today's world, new obstacles are placed before us, some strive to weaken us by dividing us. Often, they wear the face of truth, however their face is but a mask. As we continue to adhere to the proven traditions and dogma of our Greek Orthodox faith and apply them to today's challenges, those striving to divide us shall not succeed. We are truly blessed that our faith is led by your ministry, which opens our hearts and minds to roads yet traveled.
During this Lenten season, we shall strive through physical and spiritual reflection to prepare ourselves in a most humble way to receive the body and blood of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ and to sing with great majesty, the glory of his Resurrection. We shall strive to reconcile with those whom we have sinned against and with those who have sinned against us.
Your Eminence, as our spiritual leader, you stand as a beacon to guide us through the trial and tribulations that confront us. May God bless you in your ministry as you continue towards the path of righteousness and glory!
We remain your servants in Christ,
John Malatris, Parish President
