Petallides began her career as a segment producer for Dow Jones Television and worked for the shows like The Wall Street Journal Report and international programs such as Asian Business News and European Business News. She has also served for the Fox affiliate morning shows including Good Day New York, NY1 News, CNN, and News 12 Long Island. Then she moved to CNBC and worked as an assistant producer. After that she joined Bloomberg and covered weekend news and worked as a business news anchor for CW11's WPIX morning news program in New York. During her stay in Bloomberg, she also reported from the New York Stock Exchange for the nationally syndicated shows, Bloomberg Business Report and Bloomberg Market Update. At present, she is an anchor for the Fox Business Network.

Talking about her personal life, she got married with a dentist Nicholas Tsiolas in Manhattan in the year 1998 which was performed in the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of the United States by Archbishop Spyridon.
