18 years? Has it really been that long since Archbishop Spyridon was forced out? I recall reading in "Divine Ascent" something by then-Hieromonk Jonah about "the rich and powerful of this world forcing a ruling archbishop to step down." By sad irony, the Hieromonk went on to become primate of the OCA and had a similar occurrence befall him.
